In June 2016, AmSurg Corp. and Envision Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (Envision) announced they have signed a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which the companies will combine in an all-stock transaction. Upon completion of the merger, which is expected to be tax-free to the shareholders of both organizations, the combined company will be named Envision Healthcare Corporation and co-headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and Greenwood Village, Colorado. The company's common stock is expected to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol: EVHC. Bass, Berry & Sims served as lead counsel on the transaction, led by Jim Jenkins. Tatjana Paterno has represented public and private companies in M&A transactions valued over $17 billion in the aggregate and securities transactions valued over $2.5 billion in the aggregate. In addition to her M&A and securities practice, Tatjana advises clients on disclosure, executive compensation and governance issues, as well as shareholder proposals and challenges from activist shareholders. Her clients include healthcare, wellness, information technology, manufacturing and senior living companies. She is focused on achieving efficient, practical solutions for her clients.

Tatjana is a frequent speaker on M&A topics and is actively involved in the American Bar Association's (ABA) Mergers & Acquisitions Committee, including editing of the Model Asset Purchase Agreement and co-chairing the Membership Committee. Tatjana is also a member of the working group that compiles the widely-recognized "Deal Points Study," a study of negotiated M&A terms that is published biannually by the ABA Mergers & Acquisitions Committee. 

Tatjana has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by the Mid-South Super Lawyers for the past three years. She is fluent in Russian and Estonian.
