Nashville, Tenn. (April 19, 2016) – Bass, Berry & Sims member Tatjana Paterno has been named by The M&A Advisor among the winners of the Emerging Leaders Awards in the Legal Advisor category. Paterno was chosen for her accomplishments and experience from a pool of nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders, and was the only individual from Tennessee recognized this year.

The Emerging Leaders Awards recognize professionals under the age of 40 for their accomplishments in M&A, financing and restructuring, and aim to promote mentorship and professional development among emerging business leaders.
Since the beginning of her legal career, Paterno has represented public and private companies in M&A transactions valued in excess of $17 billion, and securities transactions valued in excess of $2.5 billion, in the aggregate. In addition to her M&A and securities practice, she advises clients on disclosure, executive compensation and governance issues, as well as shareholder proposals and challenges from activist shareholders. She is actively involved in the American Bar Association’s Mergers & Acquisitions Committee and the Middle Tennessee community, having served on the board of directors of Friends of Radnor Lake and the Young Leaders Society Steering Committee of the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville.
