Alere logoBass, Berry & Sims routinely assists our clients in obtaining the Certificates of Need (CON) that are required to initiate healthcare services in Tennessee and other states. Recently, the firm assisted a leading homecare provider – Alere Women's and Children's Health LLC – obtain three CONs to significantly expand its services. Each of these CON applications was unanimously approved by Tennessee regulators. The expansion of Alere's services into all 95 Tennessee counties will greatly improve access to critical maternal and fetal medicine services in the state.

Lymari Cromwell counsels clients in all aspects of employment and labor relations law, representing industries as diverse as healthcare, hospitality and manufacturing. From medical leaves to background checks, Lymari helps employers keep in step with the constantly changing regulations that impact the workplace, and works to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of the laws.

Lymari counsels employers on both labor relations and day-to-day employment law matters and also serves as defense counsel on employment litigation.

Lymari Cromwell counsels clients in all aspects of employment and labor relations law, representing industries as diverse as healthcare, hospitality and manufacturing. From medical leaves to background checks, Lymari helps employers keep in step with the constantly changing regulations that impact the workplace, and works to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of the laws. Lymari has assisted with cases ranging from a 3,000-employee wage and hour collective action to a successful federal jury trial in a Title VII discrimination case.

Lymari counsels employers on both labor relations and day-to-day employment law matters and also serves as defense counsel on employment litigation. Her practice involves:

  • Labor & Employment Law – Counsels employers with respect to day-to-day employment matters, such as discipline, termination, hiring, lay-offs and reductions in force, employment policies, leaves of absence and disability accommodations.
  • Employment Litigation – Representation related to discrimination, harassment and retaliation; Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); wage and hour; whistleblower; breach of employment contract; and enforcement of non-compete agreements and other restrictive covenants. 

Along with employment litigation and counseling, Lymari assists employers in drafting policies and employee handbooks, employment and severance agreements, and non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements.
