We represented a supplier in a matter involved an alleged serious violation of a safety standard. The company contested the citation and notification of penalty, arguing that the violation was not “serious” and that the penalty was too high. The parties could not reach a settlement, and a hearing was conducted before the review commission, after which the commission found unanimously for our client on both the designation of the violation and the amount of the penalty.
