Wesley McCulloch focuses his practice on data privacy and security matters and routinely counsels clients on compliance with international, national and state privacy laws. He works with clients to establish data management, privacy and security programs that adhere to the constantly evolving privacy regulations, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), among others.
In addition, Wesley regularly advises clients on technology transactions, such as strategic alliances, licensing arrangements, and reseller arrangements.
Wesley is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) a distinction bestowed by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Wesley was an associate at a national law firm in Nashville. After law school, Wesley served as a law clerk to judges in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi and the Fifth Circuit Court District of Mississippi. Wesley also served as an intern for multiple judges in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi during law school.
