- Environmental – Scott has practiced environmental law for more than 35 years. He serves on the board of directors for the Environmental Section of the Tennessee Bar Association and has been active on various environmental committees/subcommittees of the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Association of Business. Additionally, Scott routinely lectures extensively on a broad range of environmental law issues. As an environmental lawyer trailblazer in the state of Tennessee, Scott has been instrumental in the enactment or promulgation of several environmental laws, regulations and guidelines enforced by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). Scott has also served on several TDEC task force committees. Scott’s prominence is in environmental remediation and regulatory actions, specializing in the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) and Brownfield programs. Scott has mediated environmental disputes for clients, as well as, acted as mediator.
- Intellectual Property & Technology – Over the last 20 years, Scott has developed his IP/Technology transactional practice, which includes broad experience in a wide range of practice areas including commercial, corporate, healthcare, information technology and e-commerce.
