Jason Lewallen advises both public and private companies from a wide range of industries, including many within the healthcare sector, on real estate, finance and general commercial law matters. He works closely with his clients throughout all aspects of their transactions, with a focus on helping them achieve the desired business objectives in a practical, timely and cost-effective manner.
His practice involves:
- Real Estate – Advising clients in the acquisition, disposition, development and sale-leaseback of real estate, including experience with office buildings, hospitals, hotels, senior living facilities, restaurants, retail shopping centers, industrial warehouse and manufacturing facilities and farmland; representing landlords and tenants in the negotiation and documentation of retail, office and industrial leases; assisting with distressed real estate acquisitions and other distressed real estate matters.
- Commercial Finance – Representing both lenders and borrowers in connection with multiple types of financings, including real estate and asset-based revolving and term loan credit facilities, construction loans and project financings; representing lenders and borrowers in loan workouts and complex foreclosure matters.
- Corporate & Securities– Advising clients in the negotiation and preparation of a wide variety of commercial law agreements as well as general corporate law matters.
Jason has served on the firm’s entry level hiring committee and frequently volunteers at pro bono clinics for the Legal Aid Society in Nashville and in other pro bono matters.
