Primary Care Providers Win Challenge of CMS Interpretation of Enhanced Payment Law

With the help and support of the Tennessee Medical Association, 21 Tennessee physicians of underserved communities joined together and retained Bass, Berry & Sims to file suit against the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to stop improper collection efforts. Our team, led by David King, was successful in halting efforts to recoup TennCare payments that were used legitimately to expand services in communities that needed them. Read more

For more than 35 years, Mark Manner has provided counsel to corporate boards, executives and significant shareholders on governance, securities issuances and disclosures, private equity and mergers and acquisitions. He applies his years of experience to effectively navigate complex interpersonal relationships in order to resolve issues and enhance shareholder value. He has substantial experience structuring and negotiating complex mergers, acquisitions, private equity and securities transactions, initial and follow-on securities offerings, venture capital financings and leveraged buyouts.

Mark has earned a national reputation in corporate law and has been recognized by clients and peers in Chambers USA as a "'very well respected' attorney ... highlighted for his expert counsel on securities issuances and disclosures, venture capital financings and complex M&A." Previously he worked in Washington, D.C. with the Appellate Section of the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, and served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Alexandria, Virginia.
