In June 2016, AmSurg Corp. and Envision Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (Envision) announced they have signed a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which the companies will combine in an all-stock transaction. Upon completion of the merger, which is expected to be tax-free to the shareholders of both organizations, the combined company will be named Envision Healthcare Corporation and co-headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and Greenwood Village, Colorado. The company's common stock is expected to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol: EVHC. Bass, Berry & Sims served as lead counsel on the transaction, led by Jim Jenkins. Bass, Berry & Sims Expands with h3gm Attorneys

February 4, 2016

Nashville, Tenn., (February 4, 2016) – Bass, Berry & Sims PLC announced today that Harwell Howard Hyne Gabbert & Manner (h3gm) attorneys will join the firm. This combination joins two preeminent practices, resulting in a unified team of nationally renowned attorneys. Following the combination, more than half of the corporate attorneys ranked in Tennessee by Chambers USA will be members of Bass, Berry & Sims. The h3gm attorneys joining the firm include leaders in mergers and acquisitions and securities (public company advisory) law, bankruptcy, intellectual property and healthcare. Upon their joining the firm, Bass, Berry & Sims will have more than 260 attorneys across its four offices.

"Our attorneys share a similar history of leading clients through complex legal challenges," said Todd Rolapp, managing partner of Bass, Berry & Sims.
