Alternative Dispute Resolution
In order to achieve the most cost-effective and timely resolution of disputes, we are committed to recommending and pursuing alternative dispute resolution (ADR) whenever appropriate. Our attorneys are experienced in ADR procedures, such as mediations, arbitrations and judicial settlement conferences. Alternatives to litigation such as these are an integral part of our litigation strategy. Our attorneys regularly serve as counsel to clients involved in ADR proceedings, as well as act as mediators or arbitrators.
Several members of the team are Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 mediators, including a retired U.S. District Court Judge whose practice is largely focused on serving as a mediator or arbitrator. Our team also includes members of the American Arbitration Association's Roster of Neutrals, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) International Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators or other similar panels, as well as the Best Lawyers in America® "Lawyer of the Year" designations for Nashville Arbitration (2013) and Memphis Arbitration (2017 and 2015).
