Addus HomeCare Acquires Arcadia Home Care & Staffing

We represented Addus HomeCare Corporation (Nasdaq: ADUS) in its acquisition of Arcadia Home Care & Staffing, a Michigan-based provider of home care services, for $18.5 million. Arcadia services approximately 2,300 consumers through 26 offices in 10 states. The transaction continues to strengthen its market share and diversify its client base in target markets.

Addus HomeCare, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADUS) is a leading in-home care service provider of quality supportive services for elderly and younger persons with disabilities. At May 1, 2018, Addus provided personal care services to approximately 39,000 consumers through 156 locations across 25 states.

This transaction was named a winner in the “M&A Deal of the Year ($10MM-$25MM)” category at the 17th Annual M&A Advisor Awards in 2018. It had been recognized as a Finalist, along with three other deals involving Bass, Berry & Sims, for the 2018 M&A Advisor Awards.

 

This transaction was also recognized by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) as the Small Company Transaction of the Year as part of the 2019 Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards.
