In addition to building on the firm’s national reputation in the healthcare sector to advise hospitals, health systems and providers on their increasingly international workforces, we are experienced serving the broad spectrum of industries dependent on the competitive market for migrant talent, including logistics, manufacturing, technology, and more.
Our immigration attorneys work alongside HR teams, in-house counsel, and business leaders to solve real workforce challenges. We provide proactive, business-focused counsel on all aspects of U.S. immigration law, including acquiring talent by obtaining the visas and employment authorizations needed to transfer executives, managers, key personnel, and new hires to the U.S. Our attorneys prepare and file all types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications across virtually every visa category, and we work with companies to maintain compliance and verification throughout the employment lifecycle. In collaboration with our Corporate & Securities Practice Group, we also provide counsel for immigration compliance in the context of mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring.
Our immigration practice manages key hiring, talent retention, audit response, and transactional immigration needs, including but not limited to:
- Preparing and managing visa petitions and related applications, including J-1 waivers to bypass two-year home country physical presence requirement, H-1B visas for specialty occupation professionals, O-1 visas for professionals with extraordinary ability, L-1 visas for multinational companies transferring individuals, E-2 and E-3 visas, and TN visas.
- E-Verify enrollment guidance and compliance monitoring.
- Representation, training, and advice related to I-9 audits, worksite enforcement actions, and agency proceedings.
- Immigrant petition processes, including PERM Labor Certifications, Schedule A filings, National Interest Waivers, and EB-1 petitions.
