Ashley Li advises clients related to all facets of employment and labor law. She provides counsel to employers on issues regarding wrongful termination, discrimination, employee discipline, defamation, harassment, and other matters. She also has experience representing clients in litigation matters related to compliance with state and federal employment law issues involving wage and hour violations and leave-related issues.

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Ashley was an associate at McGuireWoods LLP in Los Angeles. After law school, Ashley served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Gilbert S. Merritt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. During law school, Ashley was a judicial extern to the Honorable John S. Bryant of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. Ashley currently mentors law students as part of Pepperdine’s Preceptor Program.
