Laura J. Cohen
Laura Cohen focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, business transactions and finance. She represents clients in merger agreements and investment documentation in private equity, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital transactions. She has significant mergers and acquisitions experience in the middle-market representing buyers and sellers across all industries.
Her practice includes:
- Mergers & Acquisitions – Advising clients through strategic corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and buyouts.
- Private Equity & Venture Capital Transactions – Counseling companies and investors on a variety of venture capital and private equity financing transactions throughout a company’s life cycle.
- Partnerships & Joint Ventures – Representing entities, general and limited partners and other interested parties in various formation and investment activities, including advising on organizational, fund raising, securities compliance and corporate governance.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Laura was an attorney with various firms throughout south Florida. In addition to her corporate experience, she also focused on trust and estate planning and administration for high net worth individuals.
