Drawing on her experience at the Florida Office of the Attorney General, Theresa Androff represents clients facing government and internal investigations, with a particular focus on fraud and abuse matters in the healthcare industry including drug diversions and related compliance under the Controlled Substances Act and the Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act. She works closely with companies on compliance and investigations alleging violations of federal and state Stark Laws, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and the False Claims Act.
During her tenure with the Florida Office of the Attorney General, Theresa served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, Civil Enforcement Bureau where she represented the State of Florida in all aspects of complex civil healthcare fraud enforcement actions through investigation, litigation, and disposition or settlement of actions. In this role, she also managed healthcare fraud matters including opioid cases, COVID-19 testing and vaccine schemes, telehealth services, the Food and Drug Administration drug and device approval processes, home health agencies, durable medical equipment, behavioral health services, capitation rate manipulation, 340B pharmaceutical pricing, and more.
Prior to her employment at the Florida Office of the Attorney General, Theresa served as a judicial law clerk to five active District Court Judges at the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida in Tampa. Previously she provided policy and legal advice to the Florida Senate Committee on Education as a Senior Attorney. Theresa was also an associate for several years at Miller & Chevalier Chartered in Washington, D.C. where she counseled clients on regulatory compliance matters and government investigations.
