Representation of Mid-Atlantic Hospital and Healthcare System: Response to FDA Investigation and Diversion Incident

We represented a rural Mid-Atlantic hospital and its national healthcare system following a significant diversion. Because the diverter tampered with vials in the hospital’s inventory, the matter was investigated by the FDA and we assisted the hospital in the investigation. In addition to producing documents and assisting with the investigation, we advised on hospital-wide policy and practice improvements to aid in the prevention and detection of diversion. The investigation concluded without any government action taken against the hospital.
