Attorneys from the firm’s Knoxville office are partnering with students from the University of Tennessee College of Law to answer legal questions posed online through a website hosted by the Tennessee Alliance of Legal Services. The attorneys from Bass, Berry & Sims work directly with other area attorneys and up to 30 law students at the monthly College of Law’s Virtual Legal Answers Clinic (VLAC) to answer questions posted to the website, TN Free Legal Answers. This much needed service is helping thousands of families in Tennessee who need legal help but cannot afford to talk with an attorney or have no transportation to get to a attorney’s office for help.

In reflecting on the importance of this pro bono work, attorney Jay Moneyhun stated, “Providing help at VLAC is a great way for lawyers to give back to our community. We not only provide real help to real people, but also help law students get real experience.”
