Alex Samber primarily represents clients in the areas of public finance, economic development incentives, commercial real estate and finance transactions, and affordable housing projects.

Alex’s practice includes:

  • Traditional Public Finance – Representing municipalities, utility districts and other governmental entities in matters such as general obligation and revenue bonds for projects across Tennessee.
  • Economic Incentives – Counseling local governments and private parties on structuring tax incentives to promote economic development, including tax increment financing and tax abatements.
  • Affordable Housing – Representing public housing authorities and other developers in the acquisition, construction and/or rehabilitation of multi-family housing properties, with a focus on HUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration program (RAD).
  • Commercial Real Estate & Finance – Representing buyers, sellers and lenders in real estate matters and commercial loans.

Additionally, Alex works closely with the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority, providing legal counsel on a wide spectrum of issues including drafting and negotiating various agreements and ensuring regulatory compliance.  Alex has gained extensive experience with Federal Aviation Administration grant assurances, rules, and regulations through her work with the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority.

Alex earned her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law and a B.S. in accounting from the University of Tennessee.
