Alessandro Roberto Colangelo represents clients on a broad range of matters involving the development, transfer, and licensing of technology and intellectual property. He helps clients protect their IP assets, representing them in a variety of transactions, including advising on the IP aspects of mergers and acquisitions, licensing and service agreements, and strategic relationships.
Alessandro also advises clients on the data privacy aspects of technology transactions and compliance with domestic and international privacy regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and ever-evolving domestic privacy frameworks.
Additionally, Alessandro assists with clients’ trademark portfolio management, filings, protection, and enforcement strategies.
Alessandro earned his law degree from Belmont University College of Law, where he graduated salutatorian. He earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Vanderbilt University, where he graduated valedictorian. During law school, Alessandro worked as a law clerk at a reputable local firm and as a research assistant for professors Harold See and Lucian Dervan.
