Stefanie Carter assists public and private healthcare companies with operational, regulatory and transactional matters. Stefanie works with clients from various industry sectors including ambulatory surgery centers, physicians and physician group practices, national and regional hospitals, hospice and home health providers, orthotic and prosthetic providers and revenue cycle management companies, among others.
Stefanie’s experience includes advising clients on operational and regulatory issues and mergers, acquisitions and other transactions through the analysis of impacting healthcare issues. In addition, Stefanie counsels clients with respect to, healthcare fraud and abuse issues and compliance issues, related to the federal Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, as well as similar state laws with respect to the corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting.
