Nashville, Tenn. (March 17, 2015) – Bass, Berry & Sims PLC is pleased to announce that Angela Humphreys and Cynthia N. Sellers have been appointed to serve as practice chairs of the Healthcare and Real Estate & Commercial Finance practice groups, respectively.
Humphreys succeeds Jim Jenkins who led the 115-member healthcare group for four years. Humphreys focuses her practice on advising healthcare clients on a range of operational, regulatory and transactional issues and leads interdisciplinary teams in mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare sector. In addition, she is active in both local and national healthcare organizations. Humphreys is a Fellow of the Nashville Health Care Council and is a past director of Leadership Health Care. She currently serves as Chair of the Health Care M&A Committee and Vice Chair of the Health Law and Life Sciences Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. Humphreys received her J.D. and a B.S. from the University of Tennessee.
Sellers assumes leadership from Mark Sheets who led the real estate and commercial finance team for nine years. She has nearly 30 years of experience representing banks, public and private companies and investors in a variety of financial transactions. Sellers previously served as assistant general counsel at Bank of America. She was head of the firm’s Marketing Committee and is currently a Fellow of the Nashville Bar Association. Sellers received her J.D. from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. from Meredith College.
