Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Jennifer McLellan contributed to the American Bar Association’s (ABA) recently published book “Environmental, Social, Governance: The Professional’s Guide to the Law and Practice of ESG.” The book is designed to help companies (and those advising companies) navigate the challenging risks and opportunities associated with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
Jennifer was the lead contributor to the chapter on public company disclosures, which provides an overview of ESG criteria and its impact on existing public companies and offers key takeaways for consideration by public companies. She was also the lead contributor to the chapter on responding to shareholder initiatives, which includes an analysis of recent trends in ESG-related shareholder proposals and offers practical guidance to help companies weigh competing considerations in the context of shareholder initiatives.
The book is available for purchase on the ABA website.
