Kristen Bokhan is an associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Kristen focuses her practice on representing clients in complex commercial litigation and compliance and government investigations. Her practice includes advising public and private companies across a variety of industries in the following:
- Complex Business Litigation – Advising businesses of all sizes in commercial disputes involving breach of contract, consumer protection, breach of warranty, fraud, and other business claims.
- Products Liability & Mass Torts – Representing clients in class action claims, multi-district litigation (MDL), and single-action claims in a variety of product and mass tort cases.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Kristen was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Washington, D.C., where she advised clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Kristen represented clients in a variety of matters, including complex commercial contract disputes, products liability, and securities litigation.
Kristen also maintains a robust pro bono practice focused on dismantling discrimination against members of the LGBTQ+ community, advocating on behalf of children in foster care, and defending voting rights and practices designed to increase eligible voter turnout.
Kristen earned her law degree from Harvard Law School, where she was a member of the Family Law Practice at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. She received her master’s degree in public administration and undergraduate degree in government from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Prior to law school, Kristen worked as a grant writer and legal assistant at GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD).
