Bass, Berry & Sims attorneys Michael Sontag and Steve Jasper co-authored an article titled, “Tennessee Appeals Court: Communication is Key to Taxable Telecommunications Services,” that appeared September 27 on the Tax Analysts website. The article outlines the recent decision in IBM Corporation v. Farr that held IBM’s networks service was not subject to sales tax. Michael, Steve and Ashley handled the case on behalf of IBM.
Tax Analysts also published a story on October 7 titled, “A Trio of Tennessee Telecom Tax Cases,” in which the IBM case was discussed.
