Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Jay Moneyhun was inducted into the Fellows of the Knoxville Bar Foundation in October 2025. Jay was among only 12 new Fellows inducted this year. Each year, the Foundation selects among many eligible nominations, and membership as a Fellow represents less than 1% of the lawyers practicing in the Knoxville community. The Fellows consist of lawyers of the highest caliber in the community who have distinguished themselves in the practice of law and in service.
Jay Moneyhun has a robust, multi-disciplinary practice primarily in the areas of public finance, affordable housing, economic development incentives, commercial real estate and commercial lending. Jay represents a diverse clientele including governmental entities, investment banks, and commercial banks, navigating them through complex debt issuances and development projects across Tennessee. Jay advises public housing authorities and developers; serves as bond counsel for affordable multi-family housing projects, nonprofit healthcare providers, and educational institutions; and advises cities, counties, and utilities in Tennessee on general obligation and governmental revenue debt issuance.
