In December 2015, Consero Group released the results of a survey designed to help senior legal officers understand changes in the healthcare industry. According to the results, M&A activity remains a top focus and more than two thirds (69%) of healthcare general counsel do not believe that their emergency preparedness plan covers all risk exposure adequately. In response to the question, “What are your top areas of risk?” the following three categories rose to the top: cyber security/protection (39%), HIPAA/HITECH compliance (36%) and regulatory healthcare changes (33%).
Consero Group surveyed GCs from mid-size to large U.S. hospital and healthcare systems in connection with its invitation-only Healthcare GC Forum in September 2015. Though limited to 46 participants, the results yielded interesting data for discussion in the healthcare arena. The survey was composed of 15 questions.
