Bass, Berry & Sims joined with more than 150 law firms across the country in signing a letter addressed to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) urging the office not to cut funding to Legal Services Corp. According to the website description, Legal Services Corp. “is an independent nonprofit established by Congress in 1974 to provide financial support for civil legal aid to low-income Americans.” In a letter signed by the law firms and addressed to the Honorable John Mulvaney, OMB Director, the “ability to provide pro bono legal services is directly dependent on partnership with legal aid organizations,” funded through Legal Services Corp.

Todd Rolapp, managing partner at Bass, Berry & Sims, signed the letter on behalf of the firm.
