Firm Bolsters Commercial Real Estate and Corporate Practice Groups in the Nation’s Capital with Addition of Michael C. Gibson and Jason Northcutt

Washington, D.C. (February 25, 2016) – Bass, Berry & Sims PLC announces that Michael C. Gibson and Jason Northcutt have joined as members in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Gibson joins the firm’s Commercial Real Estate practice and Northcutt joins the firm’s Corporate practice. Both were previously partners with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP.

Gibson represents companies, developers and investors in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, leasing and financing matters. He has extensive experience representing borrowers and lenders in both traditional and non-traditional lending transactions, including advising commercial real estate entities on transactions involving foreign investment strategies through the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. Gibson’s practice extends across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on the hospitality industry.

Gibson earned his undergraduate degree from Boston College and his law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law.

Northcutt focuses his practice on advising corporate and business clients doing business with the federal government. His practice also focuses on the structuring and managing of complex transactions for private equity firms as well as public and private companies. He also advises entrepreneurs and startups on raising capital and in the development of creative and effective financing techniques.

Northcutt earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from Boston College Law School.
