Nashville, Tenn., (May 4, 2022) – Bass, Berry & Sims is pleased to announce Justin K. Brown has joined the firm’s nationally ranked Healthcare Practice as counsel.
Brown guides clients through the healthcare regulatory challenges they face in both day-to-day operations and transactions. He focuses his practice on issues related to the federal physician self-referral (Stark) law and Anti-Kickback Statute, as well as state self-referral, anti-kickback, fee-splitting, and corporate practice of medicine prohibitions.
Brown works with clients across the healthcare provider spectrum, including hospitals and health systems, physician practices, post-acute providers, ambulatory surgery centers and dialysis providers, as well as device and pharmaceutical manufacturers. He also advises strategic partners and investors in all these sectors.

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Brown was an attorney in the healthcare group at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP. He began his legal career as a trial attorney in the Massachusetts public defender’s office.
Brown graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project and the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude in earning a bachelor’s degree in finance and entrepreneurship from Auburn University.
