Nashville, Tenn., (April 18, 2019) – Bass, Berry & Sims member Cynthia (Cindy) Y. Reisz has been selected as the President-Elect Designate of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA). Reisz has served on the AHLA Board of Directors since 2013 and has served in AHLA leadership roles for nearly 20 years. She joined AHLA in 1995.

As President-Elect Designate, Reisz will help chart AHLA’s financial course and development of educational programming and strategic planning during the next two years leading up to her term as President, which will start July 1, 2021.

Reisz is a member at Bass, Berry & Sims and provides guidance to healthcare clients drawing on more than 32 years of transactional and operational experience. Reisz also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee, which drives the firm’s strategic initiatives related to diversity, culture, and firm growth and performance.

Reisz has served in leadership roles with AHLA since becoming vice chair of the Physician Organizations Practice Group in 2001. Since joining the AHLA Board in 2013, Reisz has served on several Board committees, including the Finance, Practice Groups and Public Interest committees.

Reisz received her B.A. from Vanderbilt University, magna cum laude, and went on to receive her J.D. at Vanderbilt Law School, Order of the Coif. She also holds membership with the American Bar Association, Sections on Business Law and Health Law.
