We represented the purchaser of a behavioral health hospital in the Midwest after the purchaser became aware, late in the due diligence process, of a prior diversion event at the hospital by a former employee. We investigated the issue, advised the client on changes to make to pharmacy licensing and operations after the acquisition, and proactively contacted DEA about the diversion and go-forward steps the client would take. With our process in place, the acquisition went through.
