Representation of Purchaser of Behavioral Health Hospital: Diversion Identified During Due Diligence

We represented the purchaser of a behavioral health hospital in connection with a controlled substances diversion matter identified during the acquisition due diligence process. We investigated the diversion, advised the client regarding pharmacy licensing and operational changes, and proactively engaged with the DEA regarding remediation efforts and post-acquisition compliance measures. The acquisition was successfully completed following implementation of the recommended measures.
