We represented Kemmons Wilson Companies, LLC in the closing of a ground lease and financing for the redevelopment of the historic Amtrak Central Station passenger-service terminal in downtown Memphis. Kemmons Wilson Companies will renovate the existing station building into a 123-room Hilton Curio Hotel, a restaurant and lounge, event and retail space, Amtrak office and terminal and the Memphis Railroad and Trolley Museum for a total development cost of approximately $36 million. The capital stack included owner-equity, bank financing and historic tax credits.
