Healthcare System: Resolving Physician Antitrust Challenge Arising from Credentialing Dispute

We represented a major healthcare system in federal litigation brought by a physician who recast a credentialing dispute as an antitrust monopolization claim with accompanying business-tort claims. We moved to dismiss on multiple grounds, including lack of antitrust standing, implausible market definition, and failure to allege exclusionary conduct. As a result, the plaintiff accepted a settlement with no damages to our client, avoiding costly litigation.
