We represented a defense contractor in litigation in the Central District of California related to contracts for the purchase and sale of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic. A defendant in existing litigation attempted to implead our client as a party through a third-party complaint. Our team successfully argued that the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure did not provide for impleader under the circumstances, and the district court dismissed the third-party complaint with prejudice.
