In a jointly-filed suit brought by a record and distribution company, a musical group, a songwriter, and a New York Times best-selling author we represented all parties against trademark infringement claims relating to the use of a famous song. Our clients were the songwriters and performers of a famous song (“The Christmas Shoes”) in which a former group member was trying to obtain trademark rights. Our clients managed to cancel the trademark registration of the plaintiff and stop him from trying to control their use of the song.
