We represented an international integrated energy and chemical company as a third party defendant in a case concerning allegations that a chemical used in a spray tan product was contaminated. We retained and worked with an expert to put the case into the position of showing that our client did not supply a contaminated chemical, but that the analysis showed every contaminant found in the subsequent product was a product of the other defendant in the lawsuit, which was the company to which our client had sold its chemical and who re-sold it to the plaintiff. We were able to settle the case without payment with the condition that the plaintiff was able to retain our expert.
