Bass, Berry & Sims counseled Bob Evans Farms, Inc. in response to an activist campaign led by hedge fund Sandell Asset Management Corp. Sandell pursued eight directors, a sale of the company’s foods division and a significant sale/leaseback of its real estate. We counseled the company through the annual meeting.
