Devin Lintzenich – the director of professional development & retention at Bass, Berry & Sims – and Catherine Dunbar – manager of attorney development at Haynes Boone – will present the session, “Engaging Associates through a Thoughtful Staffing System” at the 2022 Professional Development Consortium (PDC) Summer Conference.
A thoughtful assignments system has the potential to impact individual engagement and group dynamics by managing hours in service to the clients and the bottom line, by helping associates meet their development goals and practice leadership better serve their attorneys, and by mitigating bias that can creep in if left unchecked. The presenters will outline key components of a successful staffing system, discuss the specifics of the systems they designed and lead small group discussions about what works or might work at other firms.
