On March 12, 2024, Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Mark Mamantov will serve as the featured speaker at an event focused on economic development for the counties surrounding Blue Oval City, Ford Motor Company’s nearly $6 billion electric vehicle and battery manufacturing facility. This event, which is sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services, is intended to provide local government and economic development leaders training in the use of local incentives, including payments-in-lieu of taxes and tax increment financing, in promoting the development of the region.
