Morgan Tandy advises clients across the healthcare and life sciences industries, with a focus on clinical research, healthcare compliance and operational matters, and transactional support. She works with a wide range of clients, including academic medical centers, clinical research sites, long-term care providers, and hospital systems. Morgan helps clients navigate the complex regulatory and contractual landscape of clinical research and healthcare operations.
Her practice involves:
- Clinical Research–Related Matters – Advising on the regulation of human subjects research and clinical trial compliance; drafting and negotiating agreements related to clinical trials, including clinical trial agreements, investigator-initiated study agreements, and data use agreements; and supporting research institutions and sponsors in structuring research collaborations and navigating research-related regulatory frameworks.
- Government Enforcement & Compliance – Assisting clients in responding to government investigations and audits, including payor claims audits and enforcement actions; conducting internal compliance investigations; and developing and revising compliance policies and procedures in alignment with federal and state requirements.
- Contracting, Regulatory & Operational Matters – Counseling on patient care and operational issues, including telehealth, collaborative practice arrangements, and provider scope of practice; and providing regulatory advice on compliance issues arising in the delivery of healthcare services.
- Healthcare Transaction Support – Providing regulatory and compliance advice in connection with healthcare mergers and acquisitions; and conducting due diligence on clinical research-related platforms.
Before beginning her legal career, Morgan worked as a Clinical Trial Coordinator at the CIBS Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she gained direct experience with clinical research operations. During undergrad, she also interned at the Mission Waco Health Clinic, providing support in a community healthcare setting.
Morgan earned her J.D., cum laude, from Belmont University College of Law, and her B.B.A. in Business Fellows and Economics with a focus in biomedical sciences from Baylor University.
