Kendra Lyons Steele provides healthcare regulatory and transactional counsel as it relates to mergers, acquisitions, compliance and operational matters.
Her practice includes:
- Healthcare Compliance – Advising clients on compliance with the Stark Law (including Self-Referral Disclosure Protocols), Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and corporate practice of medicine laws. She has extensive experience advising clients related to HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures and reviewing existing policies and procedures for compliance with federal and state privacy requirements and best practices.
- Healthcare Transactions – Reviewing purchase agreements, reviewing and negotiating physician employment contracts, and conducting due diligence in the context of strategic transactions for healthcare entities.
- Healthcare Regulatory – Drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating a wide array of contracts, including physician employment agreements, vendor agreements, and HIPAA Business Associate Agreements.
Kendra earned a law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and an undergraduate degree in political science from Rhodes College.
