Niya Mack advises on various regulatory and transactional matters affecting a wide variety of healthcare and life science entities, including academic medical centers, emergency medical providers, physician practice management platforms, and other entities. Niya provides strategic counseling related to fraud and abuse, corporate practice of medicine, and licensure laws with a keen understanding of commercial goals and legal risks.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Niya was a healthcare associate at McDermott Will & Emery in its Washington, D.C. office. Early in her legal career, Niya worked at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as the Lead Attorney Advisor for Administration for Community Living (ACL) and Administration for Native Americans (ANA), Office of the General Counsel (OGC), Children, Families, and Aging Division. As part of this role she collaborated with the Department of Justice and Office of Inspector General regarding audit reports, fraud/program integrity enforcement matters, and disallowances of federal funding to obtain favorable enforcement actions.
Niya earned a law degree from Boston University School of Law and received an undergraduate degree in public health from Temple University.
