Sam Ross Liskey represents clients on a broad range of intellectual property matters involving the development, transfer and licensing of technology and IP. She helps clients protect their IP assets, representing them in a variety of transactions, including advising on the IP aspects of mergers and acquisitions, licensing and service agreements, and strategic relationships. Sam also advises clients on compliance with domestic and international privacy regulations, including CCPA, GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws.
In addition, Sam advises clients on the full lifecycle of trademark management, including clearance, portfolio development, and global prosecution, as well as ongoing maintenance and monitoring. She has experience counseling on brand protection and enforcement matters, including TTAB proceedings, domain name disputes, and online infringement, and negotiating agreements to support brand use and resolve disputes.
Sam earned a law degree and a Master of Laws in Entertainment, Arts, & Sports Law from the University of Miami School of Law and an undergraduate degree in music business from Belmont University.
