Christina Godard represents clients in a wide range of debt financing transactions, with a particular emphasis on advising borrowers. She regularly works with private equity firms and private equity-backed companies and has significant experience in leveraged finance, refinancings and restructurings.
Christina drafts and negotiates key financing documents, including credit agreements and related collateral and guarantee documentation, and works closely with deal teams across the firm to navigate complex financing structures from inception through closing.
Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Christina was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in its Houston office. During law school, Christina was a law clerk for the Attorney General of Texas, Office of the Solicitor General. She earned a law degree from Baylor University School of Law, where she was the top graduate of her class, and a Master of Healthcare Administration in Health Policy & Management and a Bachelor of Science in biomedical science from Texas A&M University.
