Nuraldeen Brifkani advises public and private borrowers, private equity sponsors and financial institutions in debt financing transactions, loan workouts, and restructurings. His practice includes:
- Representing borrowers and lenders in financing transactions, including acquisition loans, term loan facilities, asset-based secured financings and revolving credit facilities.
- Guiding clients through debt restructuring by means of contract negotiations both in and out of bankruptcy.
Nuraldeen also collaborates with the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group on corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, for public and private companies, which involve financing aspects.
Before joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Nuraldeen was a finance and restructuring associate at Holland & Knight LLP and the director of government relations at Frost Brown Todd LLP. He earned a law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law and an undergraduate degree in English from Middle Tennessee State University. Nuraldeen is fluent in Kurdish.
