Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Thad McBride authored an opinion column in The Tennessean outlining the benefits of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement. In addition to expanding our export potential to the growing Asia-Pacific region, Thad argues that adoption of the TPP will indicate to our allies the United States’ commitment to active engagement in the area. As a result, Thad points out, this will “protect against China and Russia dominating the Asia-Pacific region to the exclusion of the United States.”
