Bass, Berry & Sims was highlighted in an article for Law360 discussing the firm’s leadership reorganization and expansion. The firm’s full announcement about the leadership changes can be found here.
Chief Strategy & Operations Officer Kerry Price, shared that the firm, “is unique in the sophistication of work” it handles and highlighted that the performance of the firm, “is driven by a partnership between our lawyers and our business team.”
“Aligning the accounting department with our other strategic functions, like marketing and business development, client value and attorney talent management, is an evolution of this philosophy and ensuring our strategy is permeated into all functions at all levels,” Kerry added.
“This reorganization is the result of long-term succession planning and years of deliberate decision-making aligned with our core values and an in-depth strategic assessment,” said Managing Partner Todd Rolapp. “The professionals we have hired and promoted to take on these roles are accomplished and innovative leaders who will be essential to achieving the goals we have set forth in our recently launched strategic plan.”
Kerry noted that the key drivers for strategic planning at the firm are a commitment to excellence, and emphasis on agility and flexibility, and staying “true to the core of our identity,” as an independent firm.
“One example of this is the addition of Lori Lorenzo in a new role for our firm: director of strategic growth. Lori’s sole responsibility is advancing our strategic growth goals including market expansion,” she said. “We’re really excited about this leadership structure and how it will empower our team to continue elevating with excellent people serving our clients across the board.”
