On Friday, October 5, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit overturned an $82.6 million judgment against our client, German-based Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc., and its subsidiaries Renal Care Group, Inc., and RCG Supply Company. The qui tam action, in which the United States intervened, was brought by former employees alleging the submission of false claims to Medicare stemming from claims for reimbursement for diabetic supplies.

Law 360 published an article outlining the details and implications of the case titled “6th Circuit Nixes $83M Fresenius Medicare Fraud Judgment” that can be viewed here.
