Bass, Berry & Sims member Richard Mattern was recognized by The M&A Advisor as one of the winners of the Emerging Leaders Awards in the Legal Advisor category. Richard has been chosen for his accomplishments and expertise from a pool of nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders.
Richard is a pivotal member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group. Since joining Bass, Berry & Sims in 2016, he has helped to revitalize the corporate practice in our Memphis office and relaunch the firm’s REIT corporate practice. Richard represents both public and private companies in a variety of corporate and securities law matters, helping clients achieve goals that support their overall strategic initiatives. In addition to his legal practice, Richard is involved in several industry and community organizations, including the Tennessee and American Bar Associations.

The 9th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards will be held on Tuesday, September 14 at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan. At the event, The M&A Advisor will introduce the Emerging Leaders Award Winners to the business community and celebrate their achievements. The Awards Gala is a feature of the 2018 Emerging Leaders Summit – an exclusive event pairing current and past Emerging Leaders winners together with their peers and industry stalwarts.
