On January 15, Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Paige Mills was featured in the Home Business Podcast discussing the importance of trademarking in business. Paige explained the tricky navigation of obtaining trademark rights, and what to do when someone infringes on those rights in a dispute.
“It is really important to clear a mark before you invest in it, and, once you’ve cleared it, register it because that will give it some armor that will keep other folks away from it. That is the cheapest protection there is,” said Paige.
